Co-Founder of Tropic Colour
Tom Taugher started out as a cinematographer shooting music videos. It was on set in 2013 that Tom & Jake met on set, and forged a creative partnership that would lead to creating Tropic Colour in 2017. Tom has since than immersed himself in exploring new creative skills which has given him a unique approach when building out many of the digital assets & courses on the site.
Jakob Owens
Co-Founder of Tropic Colour
Jakob Owens got his start as a music video director, launching a Youtube Channel, and amassing close to 1M subs while sharing his filmmaking journey. Since linking up with Tom in 2013, they have taken what they have learned from their journey as filmmakers and built a boutique online catalog of editing assets and courses for the filmmaking community.
